Challenges and Solutions for the Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Latin America, April 16-18 : Bourbon Cataratas Resort, Foz Do Iguacu, Brazil

The objectives of the symposium are :
To provide an opportunity for networking and sharing of ideas between Latin American research institutions, the Centre for Water Research and water and environmental authorities.
To hear from Latin American researchers, water and environmental managers about the problems relating to management of water and energy resources in Latin America and to assist in finding solutions jointly.
To provide prospective PhD students an opportunity to meet Symposium participants and explore joint supervision and study programs.
To introduce symposium participants to key people from potential funding agencies.
To develop, identify and establish joint research opportunities and collaboration opportunities between CWR and Latin American organisations.
To bring together in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, researchers who have had some contact with CWR and who are working in similar areas pursued at CWR.
To showcase recent project achievements and state-of-art technology developed at the Centre for Water Research and by Latin American organisations.
To design a new field of research which addresses today's problems of biodiversity reduction, terrorism, redistribution, conservation, optimization of resources (and other actions promoting world integration and collaboration), climate change, and mental and physical health.
